BETHESDA, Md. – Centrus Energy (NYSE American: LEU) announced today that its subsidiary, American Centrifuge Operating, LLC (“ACO”), has won an award from the U.S. Department of Energy aimed at expanding domestic commercial production of Low-Enriched Uranium (“LEU”) to meet the needs of existing and future nuclear reactors. This is the third selection for Centrus under a series of three solicitations from the Department as part of a program to restore America’s domestic nuclear fuel supply for LEU and High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium (“HALEU”).

Lightbridge Corporation and Centrus Energy Corp. today announced a contract to conduct a front-end engineering and design study to add a dedicated Lightbridge Pilot Fuel Fabrication Facility at the American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio. The FEED study will identify infrastructure and licensing requirements as well as the estimated cost and construction schedule for the LPFFF.

BETHESDA, MD – Today, Centrus Energy Corp. announced that it has made its first delivery of High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) to the U.S. Department of Energy, completing Phase One of its contract with the Department by successfully demonstrating its HALEU production process. Centrus will now move on to Phase Two of the contract – requiring a full year of HALEU production at the rate of 900 kilograms per year at its American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio.
