Centrus Wins LEU Enrichment Award from U.S. Department of Energy

BETHESDA, Md. – Centrus Energy (NYSE American: LEU) announced today that its subsidiary, American Centrifuge Operating, LLC (“ACO”), has won an award from the U.S. Department of Energy aimed at expanding domestic commercial production of Low-Enriched Uranium (“LEU”) to meet the needs of existing and future nuclear reactors.  This is the third selection for Centrus under a series of three solicitations from the Department as part of a program to restore America’s domestic nuclear fuel supply for LEU and High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium (“HALEU”).

At Capitol Hill Briefing, Centrus Says $3.4 Billion Federal Investment in Nuclear Fuel Production Should Prioritize American Technology, Built by American Workers

WASHINGTON, D.C. – At a special briefing for policymakers on Capitol Hill today, Centrus said that the $3.4 billion that Congress has made available for domestic nuclear fuel production should be focused on deploying American uranium enrichment technology that is manufactured in the United States, by American workers, as opposed to foreign-origin centrifuge technologies that are manufactured overseas.

Centrus and KHNP Sign Long-Term Supply Commitment

BETHESDA, Md. – Centrus Energy Corp. (NYSE American: LEU) and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) announced today that they have entered into a contingent supply commitment to support construction of new uranium enrichment capacity at Centrus’ American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio.  The purchase commitment from KHNP covers a decade of deliveries of Low-Enriched Uranium (LEU) to help fuel Korea’s large fleet of reactors.

Terrestrial Energy USA and Centrus Energy Partner on Fuel Supply for IMSR Generation IV Nuclear Plants

Terrestrial Energy USA and Centrus Energy Corp. have signed a memorandum of understanding to secure fuel supply for a future fleet of Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) power plants. The two companies will evaluate the logistical, regulatory, and transportation requirements to establish fuel supply for Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) power plants, which use standard-assay low-enriched uranium (LEU).
